The kids spent the last 2 nights with Bobo, Pops, and Tia. They rode on a train pulled by Thomas the tank and had too much fun. Matt and I had a fun date night, but we were ready to see our babies this morning. We were supposed to have an Easter egg hunt, but due to rain, it was just a 'meet the Easter bunny' party with cookies. Grayson wouldn't go near the bunny but Matalley was enamored. She kept waving and saying hi and walking up to him. It was so cute.

After naps, we pulled out the egg dye. Grayson managed to spill an entire bowl of red egg dye down the front of his shirt just before we started dying eggs so we only have orange, yellow, green, and blue Easter eggs. They match Grayson's fingers very nicely since he put his whole hand in with each egg (better than dropping them and cracking them, right?). Matalley enjoyed squishing her eggs until they cracked. All in all it was a pretty fun experience even though Grayson got bored in between dropping the eggs in the dye and waiting until they were pretty enough to take out of the dye.

After baths, we had an egg hunt inside. Matalley loved the hunt and even reached the higher placed eggs.

Going through their eggs.

Putting Grayson to bed was interesting. As mentioned before, he doesn't like the Easter bunny. So he was fairly concerned about how the Easter bunny would get to the house, where it would go, why it was coming. He asked if the bunny drives a race car and when I told him the bunny was too little to reach the pedals, he said, "the bunny today wasn't too little." I also explained that the bunny is going to bring chocolate and stick it in the baskets. Grayson said, "I like chocolate!.....but I don't like the bunny." We'll see what he thinks tomorrow.
