This morning Grayson came into to say good morning and proceeded to tell Matt, "I'm going to go potty but I don't need you to wipe me Daddy; I am 4." I thought it was a lovely preemptive strike for the morning.
I'm working on giving Grayson lots of choices lately (related to Parenting with Love and Logic...LOVE the book!!) and usually if we're playing somewhere, I'll say, "Grayson do you want to leave now or in 5 minutes?" He always responds with "5 min" but I'm not battling him to leave when time is up. It's great!! Anyway, today I trickily said, "Grayson do you want to leave in 10 minutes or 5 minutes?" I fully expected him to respond, "5 min," but he confidently replied, "10 Mommy." He DOES listen:)

Love the book! Can't wait to chat with Grayson on Friday:)
We loved that book too! Last winter when one of the boys would be running from the church to the car without a coat on in the freezing weather, we'd just shrug and tell people, "It's Love and Logic."
AND he knows that 10 is bigger than 5... music to a math teacher's heart!
