Can't say that we celebrated Matt's birthday to the level it should have been, but with all that we've had going on, we were lucky to at least have candles and a song. My card to Matt was a sweet one but I was looking for a funny one that said, despite all the crap that we have going on, I'm glad to be celebrating another year of you. I couldn't find it Hallmark!!I seriously have a meltdown once a day...just overwhelmed with everything and the house is so not close to being normal and we have yet to sell the other one and life is just passing before us and we can't catch up. I was glad to spend a few days in Denver last week while Matt dealt with the latest problem...a minor leak that is going to require all the new hardwood floors we just laid down to be replaced. Unfortunately, they can't find the leak, which means we can't replace the floors until we find it. So we're in limbo for a while, like everything so far. I joke that God is just giving me material for a really good testimony (really I just pray that He will make the raincloud move on and bring on the sunshine).
While in CO, we hung out at the zoo, bought some furniture, saw my roommate and her expanded family and tried not to think of all the bad stuff back home. My roommate suggested I put together a scoreboard of sorts for the side of my blog so I think I'll try it....I have enough material for an Erma Bombeck novel. Here are Matalley and C covered in cookies.
