We Survived!

Today was a long day but we survived. Grayson was up and dressed early this morning. He was obviously excited and man, is he a cutie!?!?! I surprised myself not tearing up but I didn't have time to...Matalley was REALLY bored. Within the first hour, she had dumped 3 toy bins spreading little pieces everywhere, glued a bunch of papers together, cleaned up a spilled water mess at the sink with kleenex (making an even bigger mess), destroyed my daily calendar, and 'almost' smothered Lola 50 thousand times. I had to get her out of the house. It's an adjustment for us as well as Grayson.I was careful not to hug and kiss on him when I picked him up even though I wanted to squeeze him and when I asked him how his day was, he replied, "It was different." I asked how it was different. He explained that the toys were different than preschool. He also mentioned that they don't have snack time, but he thinks the school work is more fun. I felt like I was in a sitcom dragging out snippets of information with a barrage of questions. Not sure if it's a male thing or a kid thing but obviously sending a tape recorder with him every day is not the solution. So far I know that he sits next to 2 girls but doesn't know their name, one kid's name in his class sounds like a gun (Gunner...Grayson thinks I'm really smart for figuring that one out), Parker took his lunch so he sat down first and someone else sat down next to Parker so Grayson had to sit next to a weird boy, this gun boy pushed Parker down at circle time but it was an accident, he had a cheeseburger for lunch with green beans, peaches, and strawberry milk, another boy pulled Grayson away from a girl because this boy must like the girl and he wasn't doing anything to her, they put their names in a gumball machine, and he didn't have gym today. More adventures tomorrow!
