Hat Trick

Grayson started soccer season again. He's not playing up this year so he's on a new team. The first day of practice, he didn't want to go. I didn't want to force him but I also didn't want him to quit without even going to the first practice (his excuse was that he doesn't like to run and that's ALL they do in soccer and it's hot). Thankfully, it was cool that day at practice. Saturday was the first game and Grayson scored the first goal, followed by two more. He was so excited and can't wait for his next game (he told Matt at bedtime that he wanted to play a game the next day). I love the confidence!!Meanwhile, Miss Matalley gets to enjoy ballet class. She couldn't wait to get her ballet gear on and refused to take it off for the remainder of the day, despite getting ketchup, chocolate, orange juice, dog hair and stickers all over herself (she's going for the tomboy girly girl look). And Little Lola had a whole bowl of oatmeal tonight! After trying rice a couple more times unsuccessfully, I decided to try another grain. She didn't love it but ate it willingly. I think she's pretty stoked to eat with us instead of just watch. Hard to believe she'll be eating like we do in 6 months.
