Friday we went to Boo at the Zoo to see the animals and trick or treat a little early. It was cold (we'd just had 6 inches of snow the day before) so neither wanted to stay long but they made it through all the exhibits.
Saturday night Matt went to Lubbock with friends, so I decided (Tuesday) to host a moms' night out with the kids. Despite the short notice, 7 Moms came over with 14 kids in tow for a costume party. It was a blast and very loud (I need some castle tapestries to absorb the sound). We ate some goulish treats (Mummy dogs, Mummy pizza, Mummy brains, Skeleton bones, vampire teeth, orange jack o'lanterns)
and good social time. Grayson was an excellent host. Towards the end as someone was leaving, Grayson asked me where the party favors were. I told him he could offer up a cupcake and so he followed up with every guest as they were leaving to inquire about taking home a cupcake. Below are the kids (missing 6) all under the age of 6.
