Close Call

Uggh.  I'm so far behind on blog posts, I feel like throwing up.  If I procrastinate any more, I'll likely give up and just store up pictures and sticky notes of ideas for years to come (i.e. the box of wedding photos I've moved 4 times and still have no time to scrapbook together).  It's not that I dread the posting, it's just that so much has happened in the last 3 weeks.  Summer vacation started with this last day of school photo...Grayson and his teacher Mrs. Dawes.  If I had been thinking, I would have arrived early and tried to get a photo of G with his friends too but I wasn't.

And if I hadn't been such a space cadet that day, I might have saved my kiddos from a real scare.  Thankfully, God was watching over them.  They got into the workshop to wash out a pot that was filled with dirt.  The dirt caused the sink to clog up and instead of turning off the water right away, it overflowed and flooded the workshop.  There are electrical floor outlets and whether the kids thought they were drains and tried to pour water down them, or they just filled up due to the flooding, we don't know (can't get a straight story from the kids) but either way, we are LUCKY the kids were not electrocuted.  I don't know why the water didn't trip the breaker.  All of this happened while I was cooking dinner and thinking they were playing so well together outside.  I said a thousand prayers that night.
