Poor Grayson...school interferes with all the fun we are having at
home. Yesterday we went to the fair and Mondays are a good day to go.
It wasn't too crowded and so Matalley ended up being the chosen
volunteer in two separate shows. During the 'Thank a Farmer' Magic show, Matalley turned a bowl of fruit loops into twice the amount.
And then in the Dog riding Monkey Jockey races, she got to dress in a fruit hat and cheer on the winning Monkey/Dog.
It also earned her a photo with the monkey (Matalley said she was scared when he leaned on her but she looks happy to me).
We spent a long time at the petting zoo, which included a zebra, 2 day old goats, a baby kangaroo, a baby llama, a turtle, and multiple goats, sheep, and deer.
Lola really didn't know what to think...especially when a goat started eating her sweater.
Matalley was a sweet big sister to make sure Lola saw all the animals.
We met up with friends and the girls cracked themselves up at one of the shows. Personally, I thought the entertainer was a little cheesy, but he received applause from these four.
On our way to sit with the pigs, Matalley stopped at a Baptist booth to watch lip synching 70 year old women clowns dancing to Christian rock....the things you see at the fair!
Lola is pretty proud of herself standing on this big tractor.
Lola senses danger and Matalley is wondering what a shark tank is doing at the fair.
Matalley also enjoyed a corndog (she ate the entire thing before Lola and I had a chance to ask for a bite). I think we'll have to go back for Grayson's sake. If we had ridden any rides, it would have been catastrophic in his mind...so it's a good thing we have something to look forward to (and now I can get my funnel cake or fried taters too!).
