Howdy!

The kids got to enjoy a visit from Bompa and YiaYia and the Working Ranch Cowboys Association World Championship last week.  We were all intrigued by the rodeo(including my cousin Nicholas' Flat Stanley...helping him out with a school project).  Grayson's favorite part was the team penning but I thought the funniest event was the wild cow milking...it's a lot of work to milk a crazy cow with some rope and a beer bottle. A cowboy popped his shoulder out wrestling one cow and Grayson thought that was pretty cool too (just looked painful to me but I'm not a boy).
Lola mooed until she fell asleep in Bobo's arms.  After the rodeo we walked around the tradeshow and came across these way cool toy farming trucks, pens and animals.  The kids played for a LONG time.
Even Lola thought it was cool.
Bompa and YiaYia were super helpful as always.  Bompa cleaned my vacuum cleaner which I had asked Matt to do the weekend before.  Matt said the task assignment had a totally different meaning to my Dad and I, for one, am SO GRATEFUL...It actually works now.  And Matt understands my frustrations with expectations and follow-through (I mean I did appreciate Matt's attempt but it wasn't quite what I wanted;)  Mom helped me finish up some sewing projects for a craft fair...Lola just loved the babies.  I am very grateful that Mom taught me to sew but would love if she could help me on every project...it's much more efficient!
