Ducks

Did you know that ducks are very discriminating? We went to feed the ducks at the park and had some stale donuts with us. Little did I know that they wouldn't eat them. Grayson threw 6-7 donuts worth of scraps into the pond. The ducks just turned their heads. Grayson said they were full. Do you think that is bad for the pond?

Tonight, Grayson went to bed without eating dinner. It's the first time that has ever happened, besides the time that he had strep throat...but even then he at least attempted to eat. He just didn't want dinner tonight. I hope nothing is wrong. Why do my kids stress me out so much? Ironically, Matalley couldn't get enough food tonight. She stuffed herself on puffs, cantaloupe, rice, mushrooms, oatmeal, and prunes and still wanted more.

Forgot to mention that one day while Matt was taking Grayson to daycare, a car pulled out in front of Matt. So Matt slammed on his breaks. Usually when something like that happens, Grayson says, "what happened?" Instead, Grayson said, "Daddy, you have to watch out for the cars." Back seat driving at its best.

I'm going to sleep tonight with a tinge of guilt for getting mad at Grayson for not eating, despite his helpful attitude (he fed the dogs, gave Matalley puffs while I was making dinner, gave her a hug when she cried, picked up the papers he spilled in the living room, etc.). He can really be a sweet boy. Parenting is hard!

Parenting is VERY HARD! I bet Grayson had a filling lunch/pm snack and just was content with life. No worries Mommy (ha, that's an oxymoron). Good to hear Matalley is eating and eating. I bet she's getting bigger and bigger:)

C is now cutting the 2nd tooth...fun times:)
