Our little girl was baptized this weekend. While Matt and I both believe she will have to make her own decision about her faith when she's older, it was a wonderful symbol of our decision to raise her within the church. It was also special that both sets of grandparents and her Tia were here for the occasion. Thanks to Tia for handling the video taping...
This weekend also happened to coincide with the World Championship Ranch Rodeo. Grayson was in awe of the whole event. It reminded me of how Matt watches football. He was in the zone and kept saying yeehaw! He says his favorite part was "when they were roping the cows."
Matalley practiced her clapping skills and played with the fur trim on the coat of the woman in front of us. She has also perfected her "no" and "bye-bye." She shakes her head when I say no, but she definitely says "bye-bye" with a little twang. She also says mmm-aahh when we ask her to blow kisses (imitating the kissing sound).
Friday night we had dinner with Bobo and Tia. Bobo explained that she needed some help with her computer, from someone smarter than her, to get it to work. Grayson immediately said, "I'm smarter than you." I think it's great that his desire to help her was so strong that he would say whatever he needed to be chosen as the volunteer:) Saturday morning we went to the Big Texan for breakfast. Grayson keeps referring to it as Texas Tech for some reason. He thanked our waiter for bringing him some orange juice, saying "Thank you Cowboy!" Later, he was looking through the phone book in the car (he calls it his newspaper--anything to occupy his time) and saw an ad for the Big Texan...he said, "hey, it's Texas Tech!" Perhaps he's just in on the Tech craze with all these West Texas nuts.
