If only he could tell time

Today I asked Grayson ,"If I have 2 octopus and I get 2 more octopus, how many do I have total?" He replied, without counting his fingers or anything, "four." So then I said, "Well if I have 4 octopus and one swims away, how many do I have?" He said "three." I was so impressed. I said, "Grayson, that is so good. You are such a smart boy. You can do math!" He said, "What? I can tell time? Can I get a watch?"
