ICE
The day after Christmas, we high-tailed it to Dallas to visit family and do a little touring. We stopped at the Gaylord to see ICE. This photo of the kids is before we entered the 9 degree rooms containing ice sculptures of Peanuts characters.
They give you parkas, but I was having flashbacks to my childhood: standing outside in the dark waiting for the parade of lights in moonboots that surely didn't keep astronauts' feet warm enough.
We slid down ice slides. Grayson loved it so much, he slid down twice. Once was plenty for Matalley. But don't they look cute in their parkas?
It was pretty amazing to see all the sculptures in a hotel convention center and to hear that it took 3 months to freeze enough ice for the sculptors. The next day, I mentioned going to get ice for dinner and Matalley quickly responded, "NOOOOO, I don't want to see ICE." Maybe next year?
