Old School

My college roommate and her family stayed with us last night. Grayson told me this morning "I had a big day yesterday with Charlie and his brothers coming to visit. It was a good day." He was sad to go to school this morning and miss out on playtime before they left. I was sad too. With 6 kids and the noise that embodies that many, we didn't get a lot of seamless adult conversation but we had a good time. The kids did too...They were hiding under the covers and would jump out from underneath them to scream and giggle. We also had an incident where Grayson taught everyone to jump from his dresser to the beanbag below (although I think he was aiming for his bed)...NOT being the older role model he is destined to be. I loved having them here. We don't get many people visiting around these parts so it was nice to see old friends. I also loved not worrying about what shape the house was in, since she's already seen how I live (not that 3 kids doesn't change how I lived in college but you get the jist).
