Lola is officially mobile. She crawls, scoots, rolls, shuffles...whatever she can to get what she wants. We are getting back into the habit of pushing everything as far away as possible so she can't grab it and stick it in her mouth. Legos are driving me NUTS! She still gets stuck...

The same but different
Last week (I'll be playing catch up forever!!) we went to the Mr. Steve concert. He's a children's folk music singer on PBS in the morning. It was held in an auditorium on a local college campus. I'll be darned if Grayson didn't recognize that it was a college campus just by looking at the buildings. Once I confirmed it was indeed a college campus, he said, "So big kids go to this school?" The kids were exhausted before the concert but opportunities like this only come to Amarillo once every so often and I didn't want them to miss it. At one point Mr. Steve asked for volunteers and I tried to get Grayson to go up...he's just like his Daddy and refused to go for fear of everyone watching him. Matalley on the other hand couldn't raise her hand high enough and was so, so bummed that he didn't pick her. So different, yet so much the same and Lola is a combo as well.

I thought this picture of her grabbing for things was funny:)
Last week as I was packing up for our weekend trip (post to follow soon), I asked Matalley to put away all the little toy cars. In true girl fashion, she talked to the cars as she put them away...some were in time out, others were too little and were politely told to sit somewhere else, all were treated like babies. I felt like telling the cars to get use to it. Lola will be doing the same thing, I'm sure, someday.
