Yesterday the kids entertained themselves by "wrapping" up gifts (i.e. random things from their rooms) and giving them to each other. Matalley was soooo excited to receive her nightlight and Grayson kept commenting about what a good job Matalley did picking out his spy kit. I was fairly disturbed at how well they faked enthusiasm or maybe they really were that excited (cause for concern for other reasons?). It was sweet that they found something to entertain themselves inside. We spend lots of time at the pool outside. Grayson usually makes a friend while Matalley, Lola, and I hang out in the shallow end. Yesterday Matalley almost drowned Lola taking her down the kid slide. They got down just fine but then Matalley pushed Lola off her lap and into the water and Lola couldn't stand up. I raced over to save her and she was already to go again (after coughing up a bit of water). She does not like the floating raft but has no fear when it comes to water.
Lola's 15 month appointment went well. She is back on the chart for weight (5th %ile) at 19 lb. 4 ou. and 35th %ile for height at 30 inches. Her head circumference was in the 50th %ile at 46.2cm. She knows between 4 and 10 words (up, down, bye, high 5, banana, mom, more, dad, mine, no, kiss, go, baby, and dog) and can point (although the doctor asked if she could point to body parts and I honestly don't know that I have ever asked her that so I just said, "she points."
