Overheard in the car today:
1. Matalley: "Mom, you should NOT go back to wherever you got your driver's license."
2. Me: "Oh man, there are too many people at the pool today." Matalley: "That's good Mom, then we can make lots of friends!"
3. Grayson: "No, Matalley, it's V.B.S., not B.S. B.S. is Mom's short name for a bad word and you shouldn't say that."
So, now you can tell all your friends that bible school without vacation is just B.S.
We enjoyed VBS at First Pres last week. I had a cute group of preschoolers, including my own Matalley.
The kids loved the music and request to listen to the CD everyday. The theme was Hayday and so the last day, we were invited to the Gilmour Ranch for dinner and playtime on the farm. The kids led miniature horses around (Matalley may have been nipped a few times).
And Lola played on the slide.
Other than VBS, they've also enjoyed the costume closet (Grayson is Matt, Matalley is me, and Lola is on a hobo trip)
Lots of pool time
And a family bike ride
And it's not summer without lots of 'lemonlade' and ice cream! So far, so good.

Oh the kids comments gave me a good chuckle! Love it. Glad you're having a good summer. Maybe we can see you guys next time you're in town :)
