Brrrhh!

We had our first snowfall of the season Saturday.  It was miserably cold Friday and Saturday so we were happy to see the flakes Saturday afternoon (cold weather without snow is just pointless).  The kids woke up Sunday morning ready to play even though we only had about an inch.

Thankfully, the snow kept on falling so that by the afternoon there was enough to build snowmen and snowangels.  Grayson became an entrepreneur, asking neighbors if they wanted walkways shoveled.  He was a shoveling fiend. Matalley tagged along and Grayson generously gave her half the earnings despite her lackadaisical attempts to help (I heard a lot of whining about the temperature).  They both set aside tithes for church but, I believe, have already spent the remainder of the money.  Holes in pockets!!

I also thought of a beautiful Christmas photo idea but didn't take into account how much an effect the weather could play into my plans.  We had to wait for it to warm up a little but not too much for the snow to melt.  Poor kids were freezing and the facial expressions during our quick 2 minute photo shoot are proof.

Brrrhh, it's cold.  We are looking forward to warmer weather on turkey day...at least above freezing!
