With minutes to spare, we managed to deliver our Operation Christmas Shoeboxes before the deadline (at 6:25pm for the 7pm drop-off ending the 10 days of collections....LAST MINUTE SADLERS). Matalley was in flip flops with no coat in 27' weather but the boxes were delivered.
The next night, Lola and I had a date to see Sesame Street. She danced along to the music and followed the story.
Thanksgiving day was fun...Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, cinnamon rolls, a trip to Plainview to see Bobo and Pops, good food and a movie on the way home. Matalley is wearing a dress her Great Great Grandmother made for YiaYia when she was little...it fit perfectly!
Although we missed our extended family in Dallas and Groesbeck, the
weekend was very relaxing and enjoyable. We even got our tree up and
saw the movie "Frozen." The movie message is awesome. Love the movie
and hope to see it again. Lola has been singing about building a snowman
since she saw it too. I'm not saying we won't travel to see family next year but it was so much less stressful chilling at home. We had time for a turkey snack project too. Grayson was not as keen on making the turkeys as he was on eating the oreos.
Matalley put in a lot more effort. She's my artsy girl!
