Happy Birthday to Matalley! It was basically a day of sugar overload and gorging. We started off the morning with a trip to donut stop for breakfast. Then Bobo and Pops brought Chick-fil-a (birthday girl request) and then we had an ice cream party with 3 little girls from her class. We made ice cream, had ice cream wiffle ball races, hunt for the scoop and lots of dress up and playing house. Matalley milked the day for all it was worth and even picked the restaurant for dinner without too much cajoling from us (we were able to dissuade her from Mr. Gatti's on a Saturday night...though Bobo and Pops agreed to take her another time(bonus!).
Matalley received a pair of high-heeled dress up shoes that she desperately wants to wear to church but is following the rules that they are just for pretend play.
The girls made ice cream in ziplock baggies (loud and messy) and then ate cones of cupcakes with cups of lemonlade
They got lots of practice with the wiffle ball cone races...it was a beautiful day!
Dinner out to celebrate. Matalley's main request was that the place serve dessert.
Pops and Bobo joined us too!
The day before we celebrated at Matalley's school.
