Millie is one week today and we are so in love with her. She has been a great sleeper this week...2 4-hour stretches each night, eating like a champ, alertness more and more, and just general other good baby behavior. The kids request to hold her all the time (though they get bored quickly). We've had an outing to the grocery store (she stayed asleep the entire time under the blanketed protection of her carseat) and then today we went to lunch, though she was asleep the entire time for that too.
What a difference a week makes!
We've really enjoyed having Yiayia here too. I don't think she'll want to do laundry for a LONG time when she returns home. We've had a least 2 loads everyday, plus the dishwasher. She read the kids 'Snowflake Bentley' and now my house is covered in paper snowflakes. They also enjoyed another viewing of 'Frozen' at the movies, have had an audience for a million book readings and made up skits/cheerleading performances, and had a great playmate for board games. We are going to miss having her here but I'm sure Bompa is missing her now. I'm thankful that friends have pledged meal services for the next few weeks and Bobo and Pops will makes some visits as well. One week at a time, right?
