JoJo (Matalley's kindergarten stuffed friend that comes home with a journal the day that Matalley is student of the day...about once a month) happened to join the kids over the weekend (Mommy was super excited that JoJo's adventures occurred while she was on vacation.) so Bobo and Pops helped with the story board. The kids enjoyed dinner at Furr's (their favorite) Friday night.
And then while Grayson played golf with Pops, the girls had pedicures and attended a wedding shower.
There was a barn dance Saturday night.
And then church the next morning. Matt enjoyed men's retreat and picked up the kids on the way home. We celebrated our family being together again with Cinco De Mayo. The kids rounded up some hats for us to wear and even made a sign to match the place-mats. It read, "Happy ceinco dimio!" So they might need to work on their spanish. I am super proud of their ability to read in English though. Grayson tested as high as he could be tested at level Q which is the beginning of 4th grade here and Matalley tested as high as she could at level J which is the beginning of 2nd grade. Aye yi yi!
