That busy weekend two weekends ago included a couple birthday parties, a baby shower, a pumpkin carving and a church wide fall festival at a pumpkin patch. I'm tired just thinking of that weekend. We lost Matalley about 4 times the night of the festival. Thank goodness we were surrounded by church friends that could redirect her to us. Lola was assigned to Matalley as a buddy (but then Matalley would find a new buddy and just take off). They did ride the cow barrels together. Lola held onto the horns the whole time.
I snapped some photos of Millie in the pumpkins with the lady bugs??
Then Matalley took off and Lola climbed some hay bales. Obviously if I was taking pictures, I assumed Matalley wasn't completely lost.
We can't have any more kids because then we wouldn't fit on this gigantic cow chair. That night Millie ate an entire hotdog by herself (with bun) and Lola took one bite. How is it possible that an 8 month old out eats a 3 year old?
We took a trip to Colorado last weekend and filled it with Halloween/Fall activities. I know it seems like we go to Colorado a lot but considering I planned to live there after grad school and my boyfriend at the time said he would live there too (one of the reasons I continued to date him, even long distance), I think a visit every 6-8 weeks is not near enough. (hee hee)
So Colorado didn't disappoint. We had BEAUTIFUL weather, the leaves were
all changing and even the little bit of traffic didn't slow us down on a
trip to the Pumpkin Patch, Boo at the Zoo, and a Library Extravaganza. We got together with Janie and Henry on Friday. The kids skipped school
so I think they were pretty happy to be sitting on a big ol' ear of
corn.
Lola and Janie were fast friends.
Isn't the blue sky just so pretty?
And the leaves are pretty too
Lola grabbed a few pumpkins despite our haul from the Amarillo Pumpkin Patch. I'm loving her sassy walk in this picture.
We don't have any boo at the zoo pictures with Ellie and Molly but I heard it was crazy (I actually went to a Norwex meeting and Matt and YiaYia took the kids to the zoo...brave souls). Lots of long lines and a few meltdowns but the best part was the cousin sleepover.
The kids thought the golf cart was awesome and a great way to get to the library for the crafts and games.
And then we played a few games at home after dinner. The kids beat the parents at Disney trivia.
Then just before heading back to Texas, we had a mini photo shoot with the fall leaves. The next time we see Amy and Brady, they will have a baby in their arms. So excited to meet this new little munchkin and discover if it's a he or a she! Molly and Ellie are going to be adoring big sisters.
