This Week

Matalley came out today in flip flops and said, "I'm back to myself." Guess those winter shoes were too restrictive for her toes.

This weekend we had an opening for an exhibit at the art museum featuring original works of art from Grayson and Matalley. They entered a Warhol Inspiration competition. Matalley was more proud of hers than Grayson was of his.

Millie has figured out how push a stroller and baby just like big sisses. She likes to put baby in and out of the stroller and will console it before throwing it back in the stroller.

Everything is very deliberate with her. She nods yes and no and points but will say thank you, milk, mama, deaky, daddy, and blow kisses. She's very picky about when she uses them or not, so I don't see a career in news journalism in her future

Easter egg dying was fun but I needed more eggs than 3 dozen. The kids accidentally left a dozen in the car for over a week or we would have had 4. I debated about boiling them and dying them just for fun but decided it would be too hard to keep separate from the good eggs.

And the funniest thing to happen to me this week was an in depth discussion/argument with Lola over the Holy Spirit. She was reciting Psalm 23 and at the end, leaned over to Millie and said, "you shouldn't walk through the valley of the shadow of death because you will be scared." I said, "wait, what?" And she replied that "God is with me but Millie is too young to know Jesus." I brought up that the Holy Spirit is with us and she said, "But you can't see the Holy Spirit." And that is when we got into a disagreement about whether Millie would be okay in the valley. I think we agreed to disagree or maybe Lola just gave up and said, "Okay Mommy" and cue smile. I'm in awe of that girl and her mind.
