We started with family movie night watching Woodlawn (great film). Matalley wanted extra pillows because the pillows serve as 'rocks' for the mermaid tail blanket. Lola just thinks it's more comfortable.
Spring Break Day 1...let's go to the movies and drink 4 liters of coke and eat enough popcorn to feed a starving village in Africa. Grayson joined me for a hardcore workout that morning so I guess he was just catching up on lost calories. The movie was great, Millie was not. Popcorn everywhere and an up down, up down routine in the chair. Thankfully it was a matinee with a bunch of kids and no one kicked us out.
This day also happened to be pi day (3.14.16) so we had mini breakfast egg pie's for breakfast (popcorn for lunch) and pizza pies for dinner with marshmallow pie for dessert.
Millie likes Pie
Spring Break day 2 included the first picnic of 2016. It was a little chilly but we survived and fed the ducks too. Millie kept saying, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack...you get the idea. And then we went to the science museum to learn about gross bodily functions. Matalley joined me for Zumba that morning and told me she had no desire to go back..it was too easy.
Spring Break Day 3 was the art museum. We had it all to ourselves. Outside the kids decided to pick a nose statue.
They wanted me to take pictures in front of all the outside sculptures. Glad they like art!
Spring Break day 4. We had our traditional St. Patrick's Day meal of corned beef and cabbage while wearing green. Sadly, it wasn't enough lucky ritual to transpire into a March Madness win for the Baylor bears. This picture was taken before we cheered for the bears...they lost...I was cranky.
Spring Break day 5 we drove to Albuquerque and hit up the science museum there. This is in front of a leaping water water fountain....they loved it.
They could have spent hours here watching the balls roll.
We met up with our extended family and ate with the Pope(just a statue).
Millie is not a great sleeper outside of her crib so we were up early the next morning for breakfast.
And then we hit some more sightseeing before heading to Emily's volleyball tournament. It was lots of fun...the kids love their cousins so much.
Can you believe this crew got into restaurants with very little wait. Lucky us!
The return home meant too much laundry and an early start for school. Ready to meet them all again soon.
