Big G

Grayson is home!

He went on his first church camp last weekend and had so much fun. Which means he didn't sleep for 3 nights and since he won't sleep in, he is still behind on sleep. (yay). It was weird to send him off with strangers and not hear from him for 4 days...lonely for us in Amarillo. Matalley said it was just boring without him because "he makes up the best games."
The girls all spent a night with Bobo and Pops and had ice cream and donuts for breakfast but even that wasn't enough to make Grayson jealous. Turns out, he really likes staying up until midnight in un-airconditioned rooms with bunkbeds for 4+. The lake activities included a blob, water slides and a super swing. The camp posted photos every day of the 500+ kids in attendance and we happened upon this photos capturing G.
The girls were so excited to have him home, they threw confetti as he entered the house. Then he slumped in his seat to take a bite of pizza and headed to his bed..zombie tired.

I think he has had a very full, very fun summer. His favorite part besides the trip to Chicago and church camp, was feeding kids in the neighborhood surrounding City Church. This year, I let him ride his bike to make deliveries which is a 4 hour bike ride at least. He LOVED it. We all help pack lunches
and then sent him off on his way.

He even used his own money (that he had saved to buy Pokémon cards) to buy a generic camelback hydration pack so that he wouldn't have to stop along the route when he was thirsty. I love his servant heart and hope it is always something that motivates him.
