All was forgotten in the morning, or forgiven at least. We spent one afternoon at the zoo.
I was on a role for help verses, not helping. Here Millie is sad because she wanted on the hippos but didn't want me to hold her up to the hippos.
The cool thing about a late visit to the zoo is that we almost had the zoo to ourselves and because it started to get dark before closing time, the lights from zoo lights were bright enough for us to enjoy the event without actually buying tickets to the event or dealing with the incredibly LONG lines that were at the entrance as we left. Lucky us!
Thanksgiving is just so much fun with all the littles playing for hours on end. Lola said it was her favorite part of the trip...just playing with the cousins. They put on several plays in which Matalley gave each line to each actress line by line (it was like watching a radio program with an interpreter and lasted twice as long). We missed Emily's directing skills but they did enjoy the production process.
Millie was obsessed with Louisa and just wanted to hold her all the time.
Grayson was smitten too.
I just love these special times with my siblings and their families.Bompa was glutened on Thanksgiving day which was a bummer but we made up for it the following night with the zoo and then a neighborhood Christmas light viewing. All the munchkins (plus Matt and Andy) snuggled in the bed of the pick up and listened/sang Christmas carols.
All in all, we had a relaxing, enjoyable, yummy Thanksgiving and hope that you did too!
