Lola is riding her bike without training wheels and lost her second front tooth over the weekend. To top off the reminder of fleeting time, she had her 7th birthday party this weekend. It was a mermaid party with friends and her last "big" shindig for a while (1st grade is the last time we throw a party with lots of friends...at least that's what we've managed for 5 years with Grayson and Matalley). We hosted it at a pool so Matalley and Grayson invited a few of their buddies too and we realized how ready we are for summer. Warm late nights, chlorine and fun friends.
Millie is ready too. She is all sugared up on pupcakes from the chicken and I have had to stop her from eating a third one just today (I just look at one and it's like I've eaten 10). She is already planning her butterfly birthday in which she wants just pink and purple cupcakes, not the blue ones.
Matalley is also in the early planning stages for the 5th grade talent show, which will happen a year from now. She and her friends are writing a scene. Of course there is a little drama over who will get which part and what they will say and I'm thinking, "why are you arguing about something that will happen a year from now?" It makes me think that middle school drama is going to be HORRIBLE!
