Open up That Golden Gate (DAY 4)

Not sure what happened to the flowers and the sunshine, but Day 4 started off rainy.  We had a magic morning pass but instead of bee-lining it over to tomorrow land for the rides, we stopped for the chipmunks.  Matalley cracked me up telling Grayson that she was going to hand her book to Chip and Grayson should give his to Dale (Can you tell them apart?).
 Pluto

And then we bee-lined it over to Space Mountain and Star Tours which the kids loved (notice Grayson's arms up).
Later they rode it again by themselves, after the ride was stopped, and they still loved it (notice Matalley's hands up too).
These cars are proof that Matalley might not pass her driver's license test when she turns 16 but at least she had fun.
The rain didn't deter our spirits.
Lola fell asleep before she met Mickey.

And right about here is when the rain started pouring.
Luckily, it cleared toon town out so we had the whole place to ourselves. Though poor Bompa hurt his foot.
I think YiaYia and Bompa were happy to have us in jail for a while so they could rest a bit (did I remember to tell you we got to the parks a half hour early every morning and stay until after they closed and we didn't take a leisurely pace either?).

On our way to Adventureland, we tried to remove the Sword in the Stone (the kids had an appreciation for the rides/sites due to watching all those movies before we left).
Jungle Cruise was a hit while Grayson rode the Indiana Jones ride a second time...he ended up riding it 4 times which was a far cry from the first time holding his eyes closed the whole times.
A visit with Princess Jasmine and Aladdin.
Lola was on the flying Dumbo ride with me even though you can't see her.
Getting our Peter Pan fix and then after that we tried the carousel which almost turned into a debacle.  Matalley was determined to ride a unicorn but there were NO unicorns...she spent a good 10 minutes searching every horse and missed out on sitting next to Grayson and Lola and then was just mad for most the ride because of it.  Good thing she can turn her mood around so quickly!
And then we took another ride on the teacups.  Then we headed over to the Matterhorn which Matalley did not want to ride due to a glimpse of a commercial with the abominable snowman and then she ended up loving it and rode it 3 more times.  (She did tell the ride operator that she did not want to see him and the operator said that he just passed out snowcones).
After that, we hit a few more rides before Bompa and YiaYia left us (they were a little worn out) and they left at an opportune time....within minutes we had a downpour.  It happened to be while Matt and Grayson were riding Pirates of the Carribbean in the private boat.  After the ride, Matt took off for the hotel to grab the car and Grayson turned into superman.  He pushed Matalley in the rain without complaint while I carried Lola to the pick up area.  He was a rock star.  The best was arriving at the warm hotel and totally crashing from exhaustion.
