Heading home was hard...delays, crankiness, missing Disney but we survived.
We had breakfast and made a quick stop at the lego store before heading to the airport (which is where the delays began).
We made it home just in time for the second biggest blizzard Amarillo has ever had. 19.6 inches fell on our city in the course of 12 hours so we were definitely snowed in (I think we have a total of 10 snow plows for the entire city). You couldn't see out our windows because the wind was blowing snow against everything.
Two full snow days home from school and we almost didn't make it the third day due to crazy ice formations in the middle of the street.
We had a good family day...We slept in! We had a really good omelet breakfast. We built a fort in the dining room which had a collection of pillows, snacks, and game pieces.
We had beef stew for a late lunch. We cleared off the driveway and built a snowman, snow angels, snowballs and our own mini sledding hill. We played games while drinking hot chocolate. We had a yummy family dinner and then snow cream while watching a family movie knowing the next day was going to be a snow day as well (second day was a little too much being cooped in).
