I have a four year old! Crazy, she's been acting like a 4 year old for a while but now it's official. The morning of her birthday, she asked if I had decorated for her (which I had not) but was easily sidetracked with talk of her birthday party...a Hello Kitty Rainbow Art party.

We spent her birthday doing things she loves...library storytime, chick-fil-a with friends,

playground time outside, baking,

ballet, and dinner at Blue Sky. She also requested chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles and we opened presents.

The duplo blocks spell out Lola (by Matalley and Grayson)

When making out the invite list for her party, Lola explained that she didn't think boys would enjoy her party...so 4 other little preschool girls joined in the fun.

We painted rainbows around hearts.

 And made fruit loop edible necklaces

 She helped decorate her Hello Kitty rainbow art cake

 She enjoyed all six layers of it

 And then played pin the bow on Hello Kitty

 It was fast and furious but very fun and Lola seemed pleased

The day before, we had gone to 'week of the young child' at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. Lola got to pretend to be the teacher, which never happens when Matalley is around. She is not as strict as Matalley either.

Though she got 3 shots, her doctors' appointment was just fine. She's 50% for height and weight and able to do everything she should be..count to 10, knows her colors, can hop on 1 foot and eats a variety of foods (though I think she has a definite sweet tooth). Happy Birthday Lola Kate!
