It's sad, but true, Matalley is in the last year of single digits. We did have to spread out the birthday love a couple of nights. We went to Chili's(per her request...mostly because they have table digital games) and then on her actual birthday, made it through all of our usual activities (school, piano, church, basketball practice) and had her requested ice cream cake.
Millie helped me pick out a balloon because it's not a real birthday without them. Matalley was a gracious birthday girl, despite threatening Lola the nights leading up to ice cream cake that Lola would not get any if she didn't play nice. That lead to many minutes spent crying by Lola and me getting mad and threatening no birthday cake for anyone if they didn't play nice. They were all nice the night of (I think)!
My fashionista was excited for new clothes. She took to wearing everything she received over the next few days and repeated them the following week. I guess anything new is her new fave.
