Sending the bigs off to camp is exciting and heart wrenching at the same time. Will they love it or hate it? Will they miss us (please just a little) or forget us? Will they shower?
Matalley was very excited because it was her first camp experience but she didn't really know anyone getting on the bus besides Grayson and his friends. I could sense her nervousness but obviously couldn't feed her trepidation with more questions. So we just squelch our thoughts and send them off hoping for the best and welcome them home with signs and hugs and lots more hugs.Millie couldn't wait to see her brutha..
They came home with lots of stories...conversation pieces for hours and hours. I remember them talking about a few kids that played "cheaty cheaty" and the crawfish Matalley caught, "but the pincher on his butt stung me" and Matalley explaining that "A, S and E all wanted to sit by me so we flipped a coin."
That night we all slept well under ONE roof.
